Is been a long time(38 years) Rangers close in for a European final ! As such, they are very motivated to win this competition although they have couple of injuries on the list and Captain is suspended. Rangers have been knowing for not conceding many goals(2 goals at home in the past 6 matches UEFA matches). It is difficult to beat Rangers at Ibox stadium. Rangers will try to defend inorder to have a clean sheet. Rangers is good at slowing down the game pace but Fiorentina is a team which like fast pace.
This is the fifth UEFA competition semi-final for the Rangers, who won through to the final on three of the previous four occasions. Fiorentina have played in five semi-finals before, prevailing on all but one occasion:1956/57 European Champion Clubs' Cup, Crvena Zvezda 1-0 (aggregate).
Rangers fighting spirit, Ibox stadium, hard defenders and team work, is difficult for Fiorentina to win here. My verdict as below:
